This core-shell particle was specifically developed for use on standard or order model HPLC systems that may have low pressure limitations

Core-Shell Science

Using sol-gel processing techniques that incorporate nano-structuring technology, a durable, homogeneous porous shell is grown on a solid silica core to create a core-shell particle. This particle morphology results in less band broadening compared to fully porous particles and thus delivers extremely high efficiencies.

"Due to a short test phase we have not optimized our method completely so I can't tell how much time we will save. But up until now the separation is better and the peak shape is better. The retention times are shorter compared to a conventional C-18 due to the new kind of pre-column Phenomenex use."
