The innuPREP Plant DNA Kit - IP is used in combination with the InnuPure® C12 for automated isolation of genomic DNA from plant material. The plant material first undergoes a highly efficient homogenization process in the SpeedMill or other homogenizer. Other protocols involving the use of a mortar and liquid nitrogen are also available. The homogenized plant material is then lysed and subjected to a highly efficient process for removing proteins and polysaccharides, thereby eliminating virtually all PCR inhibitors. The nucleic acids are then isolated automatically in the InnuPure® C12 via a magnetic particle separation technique. Magnetic beads that have been optimized especially for this system prevent the often typical bleeding effect. The innuPREP Plant DNA Kit - IP has already been used successfully for plants such as parsley, carrots, potatoes, corn and soy.
