Used in conjunction with the InnuPure® C12 or C16, the innuPREP Cell RNA Kit - IP allows researchers to automatically extract total RNA from eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells (gram+ and gram- bacteria). Lysis is especially efficient and requires no more than 5 minutes to complete. Genomic DNA is then selectively removed via centrifugation with spin filter columns, a step that eliminates the need for time-consuming enzymatic digestion. Subsequent steps, which include binding and washing the total RNA, as well as the final elution step, proceed in the InnuPure® C12/C16 and are fully automated. Extraction is based on a separation process in which the RNA is bound to magnetic particles. Prefilled reagent strips and/or plates, along with a waste container for used strips, prevent any potential contamination.
