Helpful Method Development Wizards for Method Robustness
Application Area: Groundwater
"This ICP-OES has worked well for the past 5 years in a core lab with various users and experience levels. We perform groundwater analysis with a couple student users. The hardware options are diverse enough to have nebulizers available for our groundwater at various flow rates and those more suited for organic matrices. The flexibility of axial or radial emission monitoring expands the range of concentrations we can measure. Software wizards monitor possible interferences and suggest optimum wavelengths based upon matrix and other analytes present. Operation has been fairly easy for students to understand. The 4 stars for "After Sales Care" is due to the fact that since this is more of a specialty instrument, Shimadzu does not have a service staff or part inventory as large as their chromatography or MS market. That being said, it may be quite competitive in the ICP world."
The ICPE-9000’s innovative Mini Torch minimizes cost by reducing consumption of argon gas to half that of conventional torches.
The ICPE-9000 features easy-to-use, innovative ICPEsolution Software, which offers such features as a Method Development Assistant and a Diagnosis Assistant and easily handles automatic wavelength optimization as well as interference corrections.
