The FastTrack® 2.0 mRNA Isolation Kit can be used to isolate mRNA directly from 1 x 107 to 1 x 108 cells (depending on cell type), 0.4 to 1 gram of tissue, or 0.1 to 1 mg of total RNA. The procedure requires no ultracentrifugation or guanidinium lysis and uses convenient, premeasured aliquots of oligo dT cellulose powder for high yields of mRNA. The isolated mRNA is intact and full-length, and can be used for RACE, microarray analysis, cDNA library construction, subtractive probe generation, primer extension studies, northern blot analysis, RT-PCR, RNase protection assays, and in vitro translation.
"The FastTrack kit is an easy to use mRNA isolation kit. After using many commercially available kits, this is the one that gives the best quality results for our applications. Although it is a little pricey, it is worth the money."
