Protease Inhibitor Cocktail Tablets supplied in glass vials
Used for the inhibition of proteolytic activity in large volumes in which EDTA may interfere with protein stability or subsequent assays or purification methods (e.g., Immobilized Metal Chelate Affinity Chromatography [IMAC]).
- Easy to use.
Simply drop a quick-dissolving tablet into your buffer.
- Complete protection.
Instantly protect your proteins against a broad range of proteases.
Performs in extracts from almost any tissue or cell, including animals, plants, yeast, bacteria, or fungi.
Non-toxic inhibitors without risk to you or those around you.
- Suitable for IMAC.
For the purification of Poly-His-tagged proteins.
Starting concentration: 1 tablet contains protease inhibitors sufficient for a 50-ml cell extract.
Specificity: Mixture of several protease inhibitors. For the inhibition of serine, cysteine, but not metalloproteases.
Solubility/Stability: Soluble in aqueous buffers, or add directly to extraction media. Alternatively, prepare 25x stock solutions in 2 ml water or 100 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.0. Stock solution is stable for 1-2 weeks at +2 to +8°C or at least 12 weeks at -15 to -25°C. Can be used in thiol-containing solutions at room temperature.
Note: Inhibition efficiency is quickly and sensitively tested with the Universal Protease Substrate (Cat. Nos. 11 080 733 001 or 11 734 334 001).

"Roche cOmplete, EDTA-free protease inhibitors are easy to use. However, If I make less than 5 or 10ml of lysis buffer I have to cut the tablet, so it would be useful if they were available in a smaller concentration as well."
