Implementation of Automated Miniature Bioreactors for Rapid Process Optimization and Development
In biopharmaceutical production, there is a great pressure on biotechnology companies to implement new technology that enables higher throughput in development without compromising the quality of research. To address these challenges, automated, miniature, parallel bioreactor systems have been developed to allow high throughput screening and process development for mammalian cell culture. This scientific poster demonstrates the consistent performance of parallel, automated bioreactors and that through good process parameter control these systems can be used to predict larger scale performance early in development.
Automated Transient Transfection Using the Life Technologies Expi293™ Expression System in ambr™ Microscale Bioreactors
In this application note it is shown that the ambr system allows for automated, high throughput operation of up to 48x15mL transient transfection cultures using the Life Technologies Expi293™ Expression System.
Managing Sample Volume for Micro Bioreactor Analytics
Many traditional analyzers are not designed for use with micro scale bioreactors, so managing the culture volume when running ambr15 experiments requires some planning. This technical note presents several methods that users currently employ to acquire necessary off-line data when running the ambr15 system. These include the use of low volume analyzers, reducing sample frequency, prioritization of assays, dilution of samples, and sampling a single vessel among replicates.
