Fabrication of High-Quality Oligonucleotide Arrays on Corning® UltraGAPS™ Slides

Oligonucleotide arrays are increasingly becoming the platform of choice for studying gene expression at the transcriptional level. Oligo arrays offer more flexibility in terms of array design and greater specificity during hybridization. This poster reports on the fabrication of high-quality arrays on UltraGAPS slides using unmodified single-stranded DNA, 75 nucleotides long, that perform at levels of sensitivity and reproducibility at least as high as dsDNA arrays. Oligo arrays printed on UltraGAPS slides showed very low and uniform background, high sensitivity, low variability of two-color ratios, and broad dynamic range.
