The Detection of Cronobacter spp. (E. sakazakii) and Screening for all Enterobacteriaceae in Powdered Infant Formula (PIF) by Real-Time PCR (in Combination with the Detection of Salmonella)
28 May 2013

This application note describes the detection of Enterobacteriaceae and Cronobacter spp. (E. sakazakii), in infant formula by Real-Time PCR using BIOTECON Diagnostics foodproof Enterobacteriaceae plus E. sakazakii Detection Kit. The procedure described also allows use of the pre-enrichment and extracted DNA for the consecutive detection of Salmonella by PCR.
