Determination of Multi-Pesticide Residues in Red Chili Powder Using QuEChERS and the Agilent 7000 Series Triple Quadrupole GC/MS System
28 Jul 2014

Carotenoid pigments are responsible for the color of the chili, and need to be removed, as much as possible, before any gas chromatographic detection. Otherwise, it would stick to the liner due its low volatility, shortening the life of the liner and column. This application note describes the advantages of using different dispersive absorbents and the ease of instrument method setup.
