Reducing Energy Consumption Through Advances in Mechanical ASHRAE Air Filtration Media

Air pollution is known to increase risks for a wide range of diseases such as respiratory and heart diseases. Studies indicate that in recent years exposure levels have increased significantly in some parts of the world and air pollution is now classed as carcinogenic to humans. These facts support the need for effective air filters in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems of buildings. This paper quantifies the advantages for filter manufacturers of using Lydall Performance Materials LydAir® MG HD technology; a solution that can lead to lower energy consumption.
