In-Depth Analysis of the Microbial Diversity in Clinical Samples
21 Oct 2014

This application note describes the characterization of the microbiomes of four clinical samples (blood, tracheal fluid, urine and stool) using sequences of the 16S rRNA gene of isolated bacterial DNA and represented the microbial content on the genus level. Results demonstrate that the 16S rRNA gene can reliably detect microorganisms in clinical samples.
