Understanding Antibody and Viral Glycoprotein Interactions Using CG-MALS

23 Aug 2017

This application note describes a method for characterizing the molecular interactions that occur between viral glycoproteins and neutralizing antibodies. Using size-size exclusion chromatography coupled with multi-angle light scattering (SEC-MALS), composition gradient multi-angle light scattering (GC-MALS), miniDAWN TREOS and Wyatt Calypso II we are able understand how the antibody interacts with its antigen in greater detail that was previously known.

miniDAWN™

Waters | Wyatt Technology

The miniDAWN™ Multi-Angle static Light Scattering (MALS) detector performs absolute characterization of the molar mass and size of macromolecules and nanoparticles in solution, offering superb sensitivity over a wide range of molecular weight, size and concentration.
