Application Note: Development of the Circadian Oscillator during differentiation of ES Cells

A method is presented by Olympus Europa Holding GmbH to clarify the process of the circadian clock formation using ES and iPS cells at the single cell level using a luminescence imaging system. The report indicates that formation of the circadian clock oscillator is closely related to cell differentiation. Monitoring clock gene expression
allows the observation of an intrinsic program which controls the formation of the circadian oscillator during the differentiation process of ES cells in vitro.
