Determination of Trace Sodium in Cranberry Powder

Although inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) is the most common approach for determining nutritional elements in cranberry powder, ion chromatography (IC) is shown in this note to be a feasible alternate approach. This work accurately determines sodium in cranberry powder using a Reagent-Free™ IC (RFIC™) system with suppressed conductivity detection.
