Real-Time Monitoring of a Suzuki Reaction Utilizing a Hood-Based Compact Mass Spectrometer

This scientific poster demonstrates the abilities if a novel compact single quadrupole mass spectrometer for hood-based applications in the analysis of chemical reactions. Typically LC/UV/MS technology, used to prepare a high yield of product via an optimized synthetic route, is only available through a central core facility or a shared open access of systems. The work here describes the use of a new small compact single quadrupole electrospray mass spectrometer, the expression CMS from Advion, to monitor a representative Suzuki coupling reaction in real-time.
