Application Note: Automation of AOAC 988.13 for Increased Throughput in the Identification of FD&C Color Additives in Food

AOAC Official Method 988.13 provides a manual process for the extraction, separation, and identification of color additives from various food products. This poster presents the automation of all three steps: sample preparation, solid phase extraction, and spectrophotometric analysis through single software control allowing for increased throughput and consistency of sample testing.
