Determination of Opiates and Other Drugs of Abuse Using the Agilent 500 Ion Trap LC/MS

This application note presents a rapid, sensitive and reproducible method for the analysis of drugs of abuse. This method, which employs the Agilent 500 Ion Trap LC/MS, effectively separates, detects, identifies and quantitates seven common drugs of abuse, including codeine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, meperidine, cocaine, methadone, and THC.
