Application Note: Continued Sample Warm-Up After Return to a Cryogenic Environment

The following study focuses on developing a protocol that defines the frequency and duration of rack extraction from a -190° C vapor-phase LN2 freezer, ensuring samples meet acceptable quality levels when returned. Innocent samples are often exposed to thermal fluctuations throughout their storage lives, even when not used, therefore ensuring they are not damaged by excessive temperature excursions is important in maintaining sample viability.
