Battery Safety (Thermal Runaway): Adiabatic Calorimetry for Advanced Battery Testing

It is shown in this white paper that adiabatic calorimetry makes it possible to test single components and also complete lithium ion batteries. From this information batteries can be evaluated for their hazards potential and these tests can be used to design inherently safer cells, providing key design information during the development process – reducing costs and increasing product safety.
