Automated High Throughput Functional Cell-based Bioassays for EGFR Blocking Antibodies

In this study, a novel, target-specific cell-based assay platform that can be used to detect and differentiate potential inhibitors of Epidermal Growth Factor receptors is described. The assay uses a full-length receptor protein and is based on a proprietary Enzyme Fragment Complementation (EFC) Assay Technology in a whole cell platform enabling antibody interrogation and characterization in a cellular context. The assay was automated in 384-well format, making it ideal for screening antibody clones.
