Multiresidue Analysis of Pesticides in Olive Samples Using GC/MS/MS
19 Aug 2014

This application note describes an analytical method for the determination of 27 pesticide residues in olives. Olives have a high lipid content of about 80 to 85%, which can adversely affect pesticide recoveries and chromatographic systems. Therefore, a modified QuEChERS method for the extraction and analysis by gas chromatography/triple quadrupole (GC/MS/MS) multiple reaction monitoring method was employed. The method was validated for olives in terms of recovery, repeatability, and reproducibility.
