MALDI-TOF Imaging Mass Spectrometry of N-glycans as Tissue Biomarkers of Cancer

In cancer, N-glycosylation plays a critical role in the tumor microenvironment. N-glycosylation alterations thus serve as important biomarkers and targets of therapy regulating the development and progression of cancer. In this application note, the preparation and imaging analysis of N-glycans from formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissues using a solariX MALDI FTMS is described.
