Food Decomposition Analysis using the Micro-Chamber/Thermal Extractor and TD-GC/MS

This application highlights the novel use of Micro-Chamber/Thermal Extractor sampling with TD-GC/MS analysis for food shelf life studies. Such analysis permits comprehensive characterization of the emission profile of a food sample over a long period of time, allowing observation of the chemical changes occurring at the various stages of decomposition under different conditions of temperature and purge gas type/flow.
