Rapid Field-Screening of Waste Oil / Solvent Drums with Horizontal ATR / Fast-Screening IR Spectroscopy

This application note describes an instrument capable of performing rapid “in the field” IR analysis of waste products in the soil. A homogeneous sample of container waste is analyzed on an IR reflectance accessory with an inert horizontal plate. This type of screening is shown to increase the efficiency of subsequent lab analysis and the processing of waste.
