Measure Protein Shape and Topology using Mass Spectrometry

3 July 2015

Vicki Wysocki, Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry  at Ohio State University, describes how she uses the ion mobility capabilities of the Q-TOF instruments from Waters to revolutionize the characterization of proteins.  The accurate characterization of protein complexes is very important, especially in target and drug discovery fields, and ion mobility-mass spectrometry offers flexibility and capability unmatched by traditional NMR or x-ray methods.
