The CAS-MAP™ 9 Probo™ in vitro assay utilizes the caspase family inhibitor LEHD-FMK conjugated to an ultrabright fluorescent label to detect apoptotic cells in vitro. PROBO-FL-LEHD-FMK is cell permeable, nontoxic, and irreversibly binds to activated caspases in apoptotic cells. Any unbound reagent diffuses out of the cell and is washed away.
