"I like them! Fit easily into my Rainin LTS models, easy to dispense and hold volume well. No issue with packaging (easy to stack, environmentally conscious). I know it is no easy change but possibly include biohazard bag to ship dirty tips back to Biotix for recycling. It also brings up contamination issues but plastics are number one source of waste for labs. I know this won't change overnight but just throwing out ideas to companies that use plastic the most. thanks for the free sample ! Vincent Moschea did a great job shipping me my free sample. "These tips are a good replacement for the Ranin LTE tips. The only problem I have with them is that the 250 uL tips don't sit flat in their rack, so picking them up with a multi-channel pipet is pretty annoying."

"The tips filtered tips are just as easy to use as the rainin tips. The only thing the Rainin tips win at, is the ease one can unpack and open the tip boxes (unwrapping the plastic on them) other than that, they are equally as good."

One piece of advice would be is if you push down to hard on to the pipet box, you will bring it back up with you when you try to take out the pipet. The box is also fairly easy to tip over. "The tips works really well and come at a great price. The reload is great but I would like to have a better cover than the small one that barely covers the box. Makes the storage of started trays difficult. Talking about covers, the one for the single boxes needs to be more steady. We lost some boxes because of the slipping covers. As for the bottom part, it's great but maybe it's too light because sometimes the bottom come with a tips and tumble (particularly with the green boxes). I've also had struggle with the 20 ul tips with a rainin multichanel. Seems like the sealing isn't sufficient, I have variations in volumes between the channel. I need to push each tip manually, which is a big waste of time."

"We tried this series when we performed protein samples. We used this line to extract protein which uses lysis buffer containing detergent. Once this lysis buffer is mixed with protein samples, it makes a viscous solution. Usually, I saw some sample left on the inside of the tip but I did not see any sample left when I used this Biotix low retention tip series. I used unfiltered tip since I did not see the necessity of using filtered tip for my protein work. This unfiltered low retention tip series is quite cost effective since it has a similar quality with resin treated expensive tips."

After a cross-comparison between other tips--I found Biotix to be highly effective, precise, and accurate. Amazingly low retention compared to other leading tips.
