"We used this as unit as a plate handler for a mid-through-put ELISA automation system. It works nearly flawlessly. The only issue is that the unit is incapable of going lower than 4C warmer that room temperature as there is no active cooling. It's fine for our ELISAs as they seem to work but could potentially cause problems for others. Obviously if you need the temperature to be above ambient this is a non issue. Unit and software are easy to use and program and integrate well with the EL406 and Synergy Hybrid. After sale care is pretty good, staff are quick to respond to inquires about setup and trouble shooting even years after the original purchase."

Also, it provides humidity level monitoring and logging. BioSpa OnDemand mode is used for simplified, intuitive workflows for single or multiple users. BioSpa Session mode is used for all imaging, detection and liquid handling operations."

"We have found the BioSpa8 to seemlessly integrate within our BioTek suite of instruments comprised of a plate washer/dispenser (EL406) and an imager (Cytation 3). We generally use the BioSpa8 for 7-day protocols and find that it maintains heat and CO2 extremely well. In fact, it consumes very little CO2. The robotic arm that captures plates and places them within the Cytation 3 works extremely well and has enabled us to conduct both short (1 day) and longer-term (7days), multi-plate assays."
