Product News: Rigaku to Feature Latest Analytical Instrumentation at Pittcon 2019

18 Mar 2019

Rigaku Corporation has announced its attendance at the 70th annual Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (Pittcon 2019), held Sunday, March 17 through Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA USA.

Pittcon is the world’s leading annual conference and exposition on laboratory science, keeping the scientific community connected to significant ongoing developments and new instrumentation. It attracts attendees from industry, academia and government from over 90 countries worldwide. Rigaku provides the world’s most complete line of X-ray analytical instruments and will be exhibiting their diverse line of lines of X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and handheld Raman and LIBS instrumentation at the conference together at booth number 3151.

Rigaku will be showing the Rigaku Supermini200 benchtop wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF) spectrometer, and the new sixth generation Rigaku MiniFlex benchtop X-ray diffractometer.

The Rigaku Supermini200 analyzer is the world's only high-power (200 W) benchtop sequential WDXRF spectrometer for elemental analysis of oxygen (O) through uranium (U) of almost any material. It uniquely delivers low cost-of-ownership with high resolution and lower limits of detection (LLD).

The MiniFlex benchtop X-ray diffraction instrument is a general-purpose X-ray diffractometer that can perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of polycrystalline materials. The instrument is designed to deliver speed and sensitivity through innovative technology enhancements, such as the HyPix-400 MF 2D hybrid pixel array detector (HPAD) coupled with a 600 W X-ray source and new 8-position automatic sample changer.

Rigaku will also be presenting the Rigaku NEX QC series of low-cost benchtop energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometers. The NEX QC and NEX QC+ systems are compact elemental analyzers with intuitive “icon-driven” touch screens interface and built-in printer for easy operation and convenience.  The Rigaku NEX QC+ QuantEZ analyzer, engineered for heavy industrial use, runs on Microsoft Windows-based QuantEZ analytical software.

The Rigaku NEX DE series of high-performance, direct excitation EDXRF elemental analyzers will also be featured. The newest addition to the NEX DE series is the Rigaku NEX DE VS direct excitation variable spot EDXRF elemental analyzer. The NEX DE VS analyzer is uniquely suited for small spot analysis applications. It features a high-resolution camera combined with automated collimators, allowing for precise positioning of a sample for the analysis of 1 mm, 3 mm, and 10 mm spot sizes.

Rigaku will feature their latest Raman and laser induced breakdown (LIBS) analyzers, including the Rigaku Progeny and Progeny ResQ 1064 nm handheld analyzers and the Rigaku KT-100S handheld LIBS spectrometer

In its Pittcon debut, the Rigaku ResQ CQL 1064 nm handheld Raman analyzer is the newest addition to the portfolio of handheld spectroscopic analyzers from Rigaku. Designed for chemical threat identification, the unit’s improved ergonomics, analytical performance and sample presentation enable easier identification of suspicious powders, liquids, gels and mixtures.
