Industry News: Join Waters Corporation at AACR 2019 and Uncover Deeper Mechanisms of Cancer

Visit booth 4115 for the latest analytical technologies for characterizing biomolecular signatures of cancer

22 Mar 2019

At this year's AACR annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, Waters Corporation will be showcasing a number of innovative analytical technologies that characterize the biomolecular signatures of cancer. In booth #4115, the company will provide details about the research benefits of utilizing a liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC-MS) workflow, with particular focus on their Desorption Electrospray Ionization (DESI) for Mass Spectrometry Imaging and Targeted Omics Analysis.

In addition to the booth, Waters would like to call your attention to four posters which leverage the power of MS to advance cancer research:

663 / 20 – Characterizing lung cancer using a high-throughput metabolomics screen
Robert S. Plumb, Lee Gethings, Andrew Peck. Waters Corporation - Milford, MA, Milford, MA

1411 / 20 - Semi-quantitative mapping of oncological therapies with mass spectrometry imaging
Dodge Baluya1, Bindesh Shrestha2, Erik N. K. Cressman1. (1The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX; 2Waters Corp., Beverly, MA)

4532 / 5 - Differential protein and metabolite regulation in urothelial carcinoma highlights changes in immunity and receptor signaling pathways
Lee Gethings1, Adam King1, Andrew J. Peck2, Robert S. Plumb2. (1Waters Corporation, Wilmslow, United Kingdom; 2Waters Corporation, Milford, MA)

4534 / 7 - Label free molecular imaging of tumor sections for two and three dimensional tissue classification and pathway mapping
Emrys A. Jones1, Fiona Henderson2, Matthew Gentry2, Danielle McDougall2, James Langridge1, Adam McMahon2. (1Waters, Wilmslow, United Kingdom; 2University of Manchester, Manchester, United Kingdom)

Cancer is a complex, multifaceted disease and deploying sophisticated analytical tools and methods will help us uncover the deeper mechanisms of this disease. Waters mass spectrometry-based workflows provide a unique and powerful perspective that is pivotal to characterizing cancer. From imaging to pan-omics discovery to quantitative measurement of central pathways, Waters suite of tools, applications, and support will enhance and expand the impact of your research.

The company would like to invite you to their booth to show off your analytical skills in the Guess the Image Challenge all while helping them support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, their chosen donation beneficiary. Waters is making a charitable donation to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and everyone who participates in the Image Challenge will be entered into a raffle for a GoPro HERO7.
