Editorial Article: Scientists’ Choice Awards Nominations Open for Best New Drug Discovery & Development Product of 2017

Which new product, instrument or consumable made the most difference to your laboratory?

SelectScience® is delighted to announce that nominations for the Best New Drug Discovery & Development Product of 2017 are open. Laboratory scientists working in the drug discovery & development fields are now invited to take part in the SelectScience Scientists’ Choice Awards® by nominating and voting for the new product, instrument or consumable that has made the most difference to their research in 2017.


Products nominated can be new or established technologies in a drug discovery or development setting and must be new to the market in 2017. All nominations and votes are also entered into a prize drawing to win a $500/£400/450 € Amazon voucher! Make sure to nominate your favorite product before nominations close on December 31, 2017.


Nominations will be shortlisted and scientists will be invited for final voting from January 8, 2018. The winner of the Scientists' Choice Award for the Best New Drug Discovery & Development Product of 2017 will be announced at an awards celebration party during the SLAS Conference in San Diego, USA, February 3-7, 2018.


Previous winners of the Scientists’ Choice Award® for Drug Discovery Product of the Year award include the Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap Fusion™ Lumos™ Tribrid™ Mass Spectrometer by Thermo Fisher Scientific, the Biomek® 4000 Laboratory Automation Workstation by Beckman Coulter, the Synergy NEO HTS Multi-Mode Reader by BioTek Instruments, Inc., the IN Cell Analyzer 6000 by GE Healthcare, BMG LABTECH’s FLUOstar®Omega, and the Bruker Daltonics rapifleX™ MALDI PharmaPulse™ last year.
