Great fluorescence and absorbance system!

"The instrument is used for absorbance and fluorescence measurements. It works with all the available plate to 384-well plates. It posses a temperature control system. The measurements are very precise, with the possibility to choose different wavelengths for the endpoint or kinetic measures.  The instrument is used especially for ELISA and kinetics tests."

"The Synergy HTX has been quite easy to learn, implement, and use in the lab. The programming aspect is very user friendly and has a lot of customizability. Although learning the build seems overwhelming, it is actually pretty streamlined once you get familiar. Also, their tech support is amazing (Sam is the best). I highly recommend the product!"

"The Synergy HTX microplate reader is very useful for analyzing bacterial growth and reporter gene expression in presence of different nutrients and/or antimicrobials as well as testing multiple mutants at once. It allows medium throughput applications with high sensitivity and delivers reproducible results. The hardware is simple to use with a flexible design (choosing between different light sources/filters) and looks durable, the software is very detailed and allows customization of each assay although sometimes seems over complicated. Customer service is good."

"We shopped diligently for replacement of an aging Tristar multimode plate reader. We considered a number of plate-reader options on the current market. We concluded that the most competitively priced and user-friendly is the Synergy HTX (MultiMode/Modular/Upgradeable) S1LFA- Providing tunable absorbance (200 nm - 999 nm) for 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, 96 and 384 well plates, luminescence, and fluorescence (top and bottom) incubation to 50ºC and shaking. Includes the remarkably intuitive and user-friendly Gen5 software. BioTek included filter sets for DAPI/GFP/TxRed and RFP in the purchase. List Price $21,950. BioTek gave us TriStar trade-in = $16,000... generous."

"The Synergy HTX is easy to use and works efficiently. The range of wavelengths gained from the monochromatometer and the ability to complete a sweep to obtain the optimal absorption is nice. I have not used the fluorescence or luminescence ability yet, but do have future plans for these options. The only problem that we have encountered was after receiving the absorbance test plate back from BioTek's calibration department, the C6 well failed (tests the monochromatometer) and Biotek's certification does not qualify this specific well. My calibration department still needs to determine if that is something that would need to be directly requested, so please take that into consideration if needed."

Synergy™ HTX Multi-Mode Microplate Reader is a compact, affordable system for 6- to 384-well microplates and Take3 Micro-Volume plates, automating absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence and AlphaScreen®/ AlphaLISA® measurements with superior performance in all detection modes using a unique dual-optics design. The absorbance detection optics design uses a xenon flash lamp and monochromator for filter-free wavelength selection from 200 to 999 nm in 1 nm increments. Fluorescence determinations are made using a tungsten halogen lamp with interference filters in conjunction with a PMT detector for maximum sensitivity.

Synergy HTX also features BioTek’s unique 4-Zone™ incubation to 50 ºC, dual reagent dispenser, plus linear and orbital shaking to meet a wide variety of assay requirements. Synergy HTX is controlled by the easy-to-use, yet powerful, Gen5 Data analysis software for data collection, analysis, exporting and reporting. For increased workflow automation and throughput, BioTek’s BioStack can be easily connected to Synergy HTX to automatically process up to 50 microplates at a time.
