Millipore Introduces New Smaller Size of Innovative Millistak+® Pod Filter
7 Nov 2006Millipore Corporation announced today that its revolutionary Millistak+ Pod family of disposable filters has been expanded to include a version capable of processing small bioreactor batches of 5–20 L. The newest Pod is available in two sizes with 0.027 m2 and 0.054 m2 of surface area.

Because it uses Millistak+ filter media, the same media found in the pilot and process scale Pods, the newest size of the Pod family offers linear scale-up and the ability to meet changing process needs. The Millistak+ Pod system is ideal for a wide variety of primary and secondary clarification applications.
Millipore will showcase the entire Pod filter family at IBC’s Bioprocess International conference, November 6-9 in San Francisco.
