White Paper: SEC-MALS and CG-MALS: Complementary Techniques to Characterize Protein-DNA Complexes
14 May 2018

Interactions between proteins and nucleic acid are often complex binding phenomena that can exhibit cooperative or inhibitory relationships in a context-dependant mannor. Understanding these assemblies is key to developing therapeutics that modulate them. In this application note, Wyatt Technology demonstrates the characterization of protein-DNA complexes via multi angle light scattering techniques (MALS) along with size exclusion chromatography (SEC-MALS) and composition gradient (CG-MALS). This enables quantification of binding site stoichiometries and affinities.
