Application Note: Identification of Synthetic Cathinones

Recent years have shown significant growth of street drugs collectively known as synthetic cathinones. The Thermo Scientific TruNarc™ Handheld Narcotics Analyzer is a handheld Raman spectrometer that can be used to identify a wide range of narcotics in the form of liquids, gels, pastes, and solid materials such as tablets and capsules directly at the point of need. This application note describes how the TruNarc™ Handheld Narcotics Analyzer can be used to identify synthetic cathinones.
