White Paper: Differential Effects of Camel Milk on Insulin Receptor Signaling; Toward Understanding the Insulin-Like Properties of Camel Milk
12 October 2016

This white paper details a study in which the Mithras2 LB 943 Multimode Reader was used to measure bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) between the human insulin receptor and signaling proteins. The study looks at the effect of camel’s milk, which has been shown to have substantial hypoglycemic activity, on the human insulin receptor (hIR) and related cell signaling pathways. The Mithras2 LB 943 Multimode Reader allowed assessment of BRET in live cells and in real-time.
