Description
The Z series offer a solution to almost every cell counting and sizing application.
Utilising the electrical sensing zone technique, often referred to as the Coulter Principle, the Z series can count and size cells in the overall range of 1 - 120 microns diameter.
For straightforward counting applications, the Z1 Single threshold counts all cells greater than or equal to the user selectable size.
The Z1 Dual threshold counts cells in three regions of the cell population, above the lower size, between the upper and lower thresholds and above the upper size setting. This is the model of choice when more information on the cell population is required such as for platelet applications or those tissue culture laboratories working with a range of cell types of different size.
The Z2 offers the capability of size distribution measurement of the cell population. The addition of the Beckman Coulter Coulter Windows based software enables the user to conduct time dependent studies, such as the change of number and size over time for applications like cytotoxicity studiesbased software

"The Z series coulter counter is a very accurate cell counter that can efficiently and rapidly count cells, but must be cleaned between multiple uses. While there are many moving parts one must be careful when changing out samples and be sure that the cubes are placed in correctly." |
