"The Waters Xevo-TQD is an magnificent instrument. The maintenance (daily, weekly, monthly etc) is very easy and most any technician will be capable of performing. The two induction ports on the front of the instrument make it simple to integrate new methodologies and sample testing parameters. The software, (MassLynx) is easier (in my opinion) to navigate through and distinguish peaks/background noise than other software such as Masshunter. The technical support is also outstanding. We ran an identical drug identification panel on an Agilent system, 101 analytes total, and the Agilent took 14 minutes per sample, the Waters 9 minutes. That is a substantial time difference especially when running full plates of 96 samples. Overall the Waters is a great instrument, easy to integrate, easy to calibrate and maintain and will make a great addition to your laboratory."
