"We use these pipettes everyday for multiple tasks: Transfer samples from tubes to plate, transfer samples from plate back to tubes, washes during library preparation and transfer of chemistries. These pipettes are easy to program and the buttons are smooth to use. These pipettes are also not to heavy so we can use them a full manual library preparation. The tips are really easy to place onto the cones and are sealed."

"The expandable pipette is the most used one in our lab. The pipette tips are long enough for every usage (MTP, deep well plates) and stick very tight on the pipette. But they are easy to release again. We use it to transfer small volumes from a PCR plate to tubes and vice versa. There it's reliable and accurate."

It was easy to set-up programs for each of our needs (ie.: samples, reagents, etc.), and gave perfect results each time. "Aside from the general quality the pipettes uphold, the integration of the pipettes onto their Assist Plus platform is fantastic. At a reasonable cost, users may have an automated liquid handling platform driven by a program on the pipette itself, not the platform. This provides users the option to use the pipette for automated purposes or simply remove them from the platform and use them manually as an electronic pipette. The program library for either is kept separate on the pipette so there is no confusion on whether a program is for the Assist Plus or a manual operation and the software to develop programs is separate as well to avoid confusion as well. "The design feels very easy to hold comfortably in the hands. Really appreciate the ease of use of pre-installed or custom-made programs. Dispense volumes are very uniform as well, provided that the tip is properly secured to the pipette. If there is an issue with this, first ensure the tip is properly secured, and if volumes continue to be inconsistent replace rubber o-ring on the pipette. Charge lasts quite a long time as well, and the pipette is very easy to clean. Overall a great purchase that saves time and minimizes repetitive motion, provided the instrument is used properly."

We've been very happy with the Viaflo pipettors since acquiring summer 2014. The 12 channel 5-125 is by far the workhorse in the lab followed by the 12 channel 0.5-12.5. We also use these in conjunction with the Assist system: works brilliantly with the system.

Issues:
We have had on occasion the end channel of the 125 leak but was promptly repaired by Integra."
