The ventus solo incorporates band narrowing technology that reduces the bandwidth to around 0.3 wavenumbers (~10GHz). This is beyond the resolution capability of all but the highest specification Raman spectrometers, but benefits from the stability of the beam output, cost considerations and robustness of the multi longitudinal mode laser.
The Ventus Solo is designed to improve “standard” Raman resolution and due to the zero stress mounts and testing at Laser Quantum, provide long service in the laboratory. As with all Laser Quantum lasers, they are controlled via Labview, or our RemoteApp software that not only allows control of the laser locally or over the internet, but also connection providing in-situ diagnosis and optimisation of its performance.
The performance of the ventus solo is backed by the Laser Quantum full specification 2 year unlimited hours warranty. This provides scientists with a fit and forget system that offers the best results in its class and long lifetimes, allowing them to concentrate on their results, rather than obtaining them.
