Vacuum Drying Chambers - VD Series by BINDER

"The oven had visible exterior casing damage upon arrival and was returned to Binder. Upon receiving the oven again after repairs, the oven was shipped without any QC or calibration check: when received, the oven was not operational and menu items in the display window did not match those in the instrument manual. After chasing down Binder service department, they dispatched a service technician local to the area to install a new circuit board. The new circuit board did not work. We are still waiting to hear from Binder as the service technician was unable to reach Binder service department over the phone during business hours (he was not surprised and commented that Binder are always hard to reach). To say we're disappointed is an understatement - we are simply appalled considering the price point, and would simply like our money back. I do wish Binder headquarters in Germany would look into the dismal service their representatives in the U.S. are offering. At this point, I have recommended all my colleagues (we are a global company) to avoid purchasing any Binder products. If you read this review, this is my advice to you as well."

But a few problems were observed during installation like air flap not working, vacuum setting function not operating properly and during distribution study one corner shows higher temperatures. Service after sale is not satisfactory. Engineers are not well trained."

Very good manufacturing quality with long life expectancy > our oldest Binder products are 15 years old. Excellent user and service manual with all information to calibrate and service the machine. Similar user interface with all their devices (Incubators, Climatic chambers, Vacuum ovens, ...)."

"The product functions as specified. The only issue we've had was with the vacuum connection. Sometimes the seal doesn't hold and the system doesn't stay under vacuum long enough. We had to fix it by replacing a part."

"Temperature control is excellent. The menu on the control panel could be more intuitive, wording could be more intuitive. The handle is somewhat in the way because it is protruding, we broke two just by someone pulling a cart too close to the oven door.... Fortunately Binder sells the handles separately.... so we could replace the broken ones."
