VACUETTE^® Tube-Touch - A unique, state-of-the-art product for maximum safety.

The new product is absolute simplicity, as there is no need for the blood collection staff to manually activate the safety mechanism. The safety engineered design represents automatic safety. The visual indicator on the safety shield provides the user additional assistance in identifying the depth of the needle in the vein.

When the user pushes in the tube, the pressure of the tube onto the back end of the needle releases the safety shield, automatically covering the needle which moves forward lightly resting against patient´s skin. The safety shield can then move freely, enclosing the needle via the spring mechanism as it is withdrawn from the vein.

VACUETTE^® Tube-Touch Features:

• Developed and tested in routine use to ensure optimised handling before, during and after the puncture.
• The safety device consisting of needle, tube holder and protective cap is ready-for-use and after venipuncture disposed of as one complete unit.
• Automatic activation after inserting the first VACUETTE^® blood collection tube prevents needlestick injuries.
