Uvasol® solvents from Merck Millipore are specially designed for spectroscopy and other applications that demand solvents of the highest purity. By avoiding trace contamination, they prevent misinterpretation of your results caused by traces of ultraviolet (UV), infrared (IR) and fluorescence active contamination and eliminate the need for repeat analyses.  Accurate analytical results and minimal risk of misinterpretation due to best chemical purity (fluorescence, water, evaporation residue, ... A good solvent.
Rating: 4.0

  • Application Area: Hydrocarbon determination by FTIR

"It's a very good quality solvent for FTIR use. We use it to determinate Hc's and grease in water."

  • Accurate analytical results and minimal risk of misinterpretation due to best chemical purity (fluorescence, water, evaporation residue, acidity, alkalinity) and highest optical purity
  • Suitable for European Pharmacopoeia (Ph Eur) and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) methods due to specified UV transmittance/absorbance in accordance with Reag. Ph Eur and the American Chemical Society (ACS)
  • Time and cost savings (no need for repeat analysis) due to highest batch-to-batch consistency
