"The manual for this kind of instrument is very easy. So for experimental usage, the user will find it easy to understand the process of measurement. Also it is very convenient to explain the function of this instrument to new students/members of lab. Great instrument."

"The UV 3600 is quite easy to use and maintain. We had this equipment for about over one year, and the results were quite consistent and reliable, plus we haven't had any problem in the past year. It is very easy to use as a conventional UV/Vis instrument, with stable light source and computerized control, it simplifies operation. The service people from Shimadzu know what they are doing, and care about the using experience of their customer. The value for money quite good."

"This instrument has been used in both Individual research on campus, as well as a learning tool for UV-VIs. It was easy to learn on, but also easy to carry further into applications. Maintenance of the instrument is very simple. It is great for student application, which is my experience with the instrument. Individual research seems highly applicable as well."

"Excellent system, but annoying software is written by computer folks, rather than for analysts. Works well, but has some glitches -- but then these days everything does."
The UV-3600 UV-VIS-NIR Spectrophotometer combines research-grade UV-Vis or UV-Vis-NIR optical performance with the ease and familiarity of PC operation. Designed for the measurement of liquid samples, the UV-3600 features three detectors and a high-performance double monochromator to ensure high sensitivity, reduced noise, and ultra-low stray light.
The UV-3600 can handle measurement with highly precise transmittance and reflectance, and uses three detectors to handle a range going from the ultraviolet region to the near-infrared region. Spectra can be obtained for the entire range, from the ultraviolet region to the near-infrared region, with a
high level of sensitivity and precision. The UV-3600 makes it possible to take high-sensitivity measurements in the switchover range by using an InGaAs detector.
The UV-3600 is equipped with a high performance, grating-grating double monochromator, and achieves a low stray-light level with high resolution. The wavelength range is 185 to 3,300 nm. This instrument can perform spectrometry for various types of sample, ranging from samples requiring a high resolution, such as gas, to high-concentration liquid samples.
