High performance and flexibility for clinical and applied proteomics applications

"Bruker's Ultraflextreme MALDI-TOF is able to be used for conventional proteomic analyses as well as MALDI Mass Spectrometry Imaging. This versatile mass spectrometer is able to achieve 2 kHz speed in MS mode and 1 kHz in MS2 being able to analyse and process samples in a fast, reliable way. The UI of the software provided is user-friendly and, despite the parameter optimization being a complex procedure, the common user can achieve results after one month of training. I would definitely recommend it for laboratories interested in achieving consistent proteomics results: Bruker support is always available for troubleshooting and support. It's featured in countless publications, ranging from microbiology to plant proteomics, tumor heterogeneity and biomarker discovery studies. "

"Two applications in particular, Imaging MS and Biotyper rank amongst top in comparison to all other models. You get the best quality results in the shortest time possible for those applications and it is pretty easy to program and to use in high-throughput applications. This comes highly recommended, especially since there has been an upgrade in the Biotyper identifications and the Smartbeam laser for higher resolution applications. "

"UltrafleXtreme is well suited for imaging and profiling of large biomolecules especially lipids, peptides and proteins. The instrument is easy to operate with detailed instructions in manual, robust and stable. The software is user friendly. Service after sale is very good. For European countries, service can be provided almost right away. Technicians from company can observe and check out the instrument via internet. Generally, this instrument is excellent for routine analyses in metabolomics and proteomics with spatial resolution of imaging not better than 20 micrometer."

"Very user friendly with a multipurpose interface. Can be used for peptides and proteins with extreme ease and reproducibility. Many user friendly options available for making it an easy to use machine. After sales care is ok and not up to the mark with a weak after sales service support. The machine is very robust and truly value for money. Overall the system is best suited for proteomics application. "

"Bruker Utraflex MALDI-TOF/TOF-MS series are primarily designed for Proteomics application. It’s an outstanding easy to use instrument that works very stable for years long without significant problems and doesn't require many consumables. Flex analysis software generally required few minutes training to enable user to start acquiring spectra. Apart from Proteomics one by knowing the basics of LDI and TOF analyzers, can use instrument for the analysis of small molecules with extremely high throughput. Especially such instrument can be applied for species finger printing purposes with and without matrix approaches. It can deliver very sensitive and accurate measurements for small molecule if calibrated correctly. People working in areas like matrix development, matrix free LDI, solution free LDI can try many different options to efficiently ionize the molecules of interest but such application required advance knowledge of instrument design which is generally not given out by vendors! "
