"The product is really good in our Pharma R&D center. However, it communicates only to the Chromelon V6.8 Software which is not open enough to talk with other centralized systems like PTC Kepware by any communication protocol like OPC. This interface availability step would help the R&D team to transform digitally with eLogbooks. Carbon footprints by printing so many reports for assay calculations can be drastically reduced through this kind of enhancement."

A great workhorse that will get you data timely and efficiently with minimum downtime.

"A robust instrument that requires training to use and upkeep maintenance. There are A LOT of knobs and buttons, along with their order of operations to perform sequences or maintenance procedures. It uses too much rear solvent wash (10%MeOH). On the HP/UHP and micro scale it is very robust and reproducible. Nanoscale chromatography OD<400 reproducible peak shape is hard to achieve. It is good value for the money, and Thermo is always there to help. This instrument is now eclipsed by the much easier, better "EasyLC"."

"The product is great with very low dead volume. This in turn creates a problem with the peak shapes if there is no practical space between the injector and entering the chromatographic column. If the diluent is stronger than the mobile phase, then often you find blend peaks while the competitor models have a small space of dead volume which allows the samples to equilibrate in an environment mixing properly before entering into the column. Similarly another issue that we frequently faced was the injector filling with air bubbles, which fails your RSD during validation or system suitability injections. It is seen in most of the Dionex instrument, which is a problem if you are looking ahead to using this system for method validation etc. Else for routine purpose this instrument is perfectly good and can be routinely used for its toughness and high throughput."
