Simultaneous analysis of amino acid related substances of 38 components in 9 minutes.

Ion exchange has been used in the past for the simultaneous analysis of amino acids, but the post-column derivatization HPLC method has a very long analysis time. Alternatively, reverse phase amino acid analysis using a precolumn derivatization-UV detection method, can significantly reduce the analysis time. However there is a limit to the number of amino acid component of interest. The UF-Amino Station was developed to solve these problems, in collaboration with Ajinomoto Co.

The UF-Amino Station achieves high-speed analysis utilizing a fast application-specific column and an LCMS-2020 mass spectrometer. The LCMS-2020 provides accurate analytical results even under conditions with difficult samples that contain a wide range of impurities. The system also automates the derivatization reaction, which eliminates the need for cumbersome manual pretreatment procedures, increasing the efficiency and reliability of test results.

UF-Amino Station Benefits:

  • Significant Time Savings - High speed simultaneous analysis of 38 constituent amino acids in 9 minutes.
  • Excellent Detection Selectivity
  • Improved Reliability
  • Automated Derivatization
  • AmiNavi Software for simple operation
