"Although Varian's (AKA Agilent) triscroll 300 pumps are obsolete and have been replaced by the IDP-15 scaled models, the pumps are easy to work on and can last a long time if maintained well. The tip and seals are a cinch to replace and users and buyers can save money by replacing them rather than having a field agent service the unit or ship it off for repair."

The Agilent TriScroll 300 vacuum pump is a two-stage clean, dry scroll pump that operates at a pumping speed of 15 m3/h (250 L/min). The pump delivers high pumping speeds and low base pressure.
The frequent maintenance requirements of oil-sealed rotary vane pumps are eradicated with the TriScroll 300, simplifying regulatory and environmental compliance, and eliminating oil disposal costs. Agilent TriScroll dual-sided dry scroll pumps have an automatic air ballast that manages water vapor without reducing pumping, providing consistent performance and superior cost of ownership.
