Broken on arrival, terrible customer service from Sycamore Life Sciences

"On receipt of the unit we ordered, two of the 8 plastic tips were broken. We immediately contacted both the distributor and manufacturer. At first not responding at all, the distributor stalled for several weeks, repeatedly asking for photos of the unit, and then said that they would not accept a return or replace the unit. They said that we can BUY replacement parts to service it ourselves. Eventually, after calling the mfr directly, the mfr sent us replacement tips which we installed on the unit. I would strongly recommend not dealing with Sycamore Life Sciences."

"Pipette tips are not that firmly attached, they have to be adjusted by hand but then it works fine. After some time even with water only there is foam in the tips (I don't know if this is a general problem with multichannel pipettes)."
